Welcome to the 9th Royal Eltham Scout Group Website!  We are a scout group rich in history providing an active programme of indoor and outdoor activities for young people (boys and girls) between the ages of 6 and 15.

• Beaver Scouts, 6 to 8 years
• Cub Scouts, 8 to 10½ years
• Scouts, 10½ to 15 years

What is Scouting?

Scouting is a global, educational youth Movement. In the UK Scouting is organised through The Scout Association and has a clear purpose:

To help young people achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as Members of their local, national and international communities.

About our work

Even if we can't solve all the problems in the world, we can help to make it a better place. Scouting makes a positive contribution to society by helping young people to develop as active members of the community.  We do this by giving young people the opportunity to learn by a continuous progression of training, activities and awards that covers everything that young people do in Scouting from the age of 6 to 15.

Every leader, committee member in the 9th Royal Eltham Scout Group is a volunteer, which means we give up our time and effort for nothing!  We don't get paid, the only thing we get out of Scouting is the fun and friendships (which we hope you will also have).
